For the third year, the National Service of Protected Natural Areas by the State (Sernanp), an agency attached to the Ministry of Environment, launched from November 4 to 18 its grant competition for priority research in Peru’s protected natural areas.
This initiative seeks to provide financial support to young researchers for the development of studies that contribute to the generation of fundamental scientific information for the effective management of protected natural areas, the conservation of their biodiversity and the promotion of sustainable activities through the use of natural resources.
For this second phase of the Grant Program 2022, a fund of S/77,000 soles has been allocated, with financing from the GEF Guaneras Trust Fund, Paracas Fund, managed in coordination with Camisea and Profonanpe.
