The “Entrepreneurs for Nature” initiative is a contest that aims to promote and strengthen private enterprises for the sustainable use of natural resources, linked to PNAs. “It is very important that you can see us as an ally to increase your business ventures through the financial support provided in this contest, and we are grateful that the impact of our team's work is reflected in the activities you carry out,” said Anton Williems, executive director of Profonanpe.

Sernanp's Director of Protected Natural Areas Management, José Carlos Nieto, highlighted that Entrepreneurs for Nature was born with the objective of promoting and strengthening private enterprises for the sustainable use of resources in protected natural areas, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, through Sernanp, and financed by Profonanpe. "We congratulate the Association of Log Collector Artisans from Boca Manu and Isla de los Valles. The incentive received will allow them to consolidate the business venture that uses logs of high commercial value without cutting down a single tree.".

The Association of Ecological Log Collectors aims to consolidate the efficient use of the trees dragged by the Manu River, taking advantage of the natural resources offered by the National Park. It is expected that, in the future, the production of wooden boats by the association will be better marketed, as well as continuing to work hand in hand with the PNA.
