In addition, childcare spaces called ‘Wawita Pacha’ were set up, allowing women responsible for the care of their children to participate in these activities.
Each of the district workshops was attended by at least 30 participants, representing the community’s interest in the Puna Competitive Fund.
Strengthening civil society organizations to work together
As part of the accompaniment process, more than 25 representatives from different civil society organizations were trained through a technical workshop, which provided in-depth information on the requirements, the type of eligible EbA measure, as well as the characteristics required to be a selected initiative.
The event was held at the Vargas Llosa Library in Arequipa and provided an opportunity to share experiences and answer the main questions about the Puna Competitive Fund. Representatives of the Regional Government of Arequipa, SERNANP, representatives of the Country Program and other regional institutions also participated in this activity.
