Call for content creators committed to the environment to become the next Environmental Reporters of Peru (RAP)

Lima, March 2023. – Profonanpe, Peru's private environmental fund, launches a new call for applications to select content creators and influencers for the third edition of its successful project Environmental Reporters of Peru (RAP) which will disseminate projects that promote conservation in the country. 

 

This digital project, since its first edition, aims to highlight initiatives that promote environmental sustainability in different regions of Peru, through the lived experiences of various young Peruvian content creators and influencers. The programs will air on the Instagram y TikTok from Profonanpe. 

 

The call for submissions is aimed at Instagram and TikTok content creators over 18 years of age, with reach in Peru and experience in short-form digital formats. The call will be open from March 14th to April 4th. Interested young people can submit their videos to the Instagram account of @profonanpe telling us who they are, where in Peru they live, and why they would like to be part of this new season.

After the video selection, the Profonanpe team will select the next 3 Environmental Reporters of Peru, who will join Renata Flores, a Peruvian singer of Andean music, hip hop, pop and Latin trap who was included in the list of the 50 most powerful women in Peru, according to Forbes 2022. 

 

The selected Environmental Reporters will travel to different regions of the country with expenses paid by Profonanpe and will receive training to enhance their expressive skills, their on-camera presence, and reinforce interview techniques. 

 

The fact

The first season featured 6 content creators from Apurímac, Cusco, Loreto, Lima, among other departments of Peru, who traveled to different destinations to showcase the environmental challenges facing Peru, as well as innovative solutions driven by Profonanpe and its allies. 

 

One of her most widely shared videos surpassed one million views and brought attention to the topic of biofertilizers and how a group of women in Carquín, Huacho, were working with fish waste to cope with the shortage of fertilizers.
