- GCA Local Adaptation Champions Awards: Highlight and reward innovative, exemplary, inspiring and scalable efforts that address the impacts of climate change and build effective climate resilience among the most vulnerable communities, sectors of society and individuals who are on the front lines of greatest threat. - Conservation Grants Program by Amphibian Ark: The grants are intended to support conservation projects for amphibian species that cannot currently be saved in the wild, with a focus on exsitu actions and in association with appropriate field activities. Closing date: September 8. Apply here.
- Rainforest Fund: Support community development, natural resource management, institutional strengthening, legal advocacy, public awareness, political activities and climate change mitigation to enable indigenous and tribal peoples to maintain a healthy livelihood. - Lush Charity Pot Grant: Priority is given to projects that seek to create long-term change over conservation threats, such as deforestation. Funding is directed to non-profit organizations and working groups. No closing date. Apply here.
- Future For Nature Award 2024: An initiative that seeks to reward and finance people who have made outstanding efforts in the protection of wild animal and plant species. Applications are open to anyone, regardless of employment status or organizational affiliation. Closing date: August 25. Apply here.
- Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Environments Grants Challenge: Seeks to fund projects that address gender-based violence associated with environmental and climate-related sectors. This year, the RISE grant challenge seeks to fund applications that adapt evidence-based strategies to prevent, mitigate and respond to the risk of climate-related gender-based violence and conservation sectors, with a focus on climate change mitigation, nature-based solutions and natural climate solutions. - Funding from Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas (MCFA): The mission of the MCFA is to advance environmental causes in the Americas in the broadest sense, encompassing both the physical and social environments in which we live. It supports a wide range of projects in the following four categories: Biodiversity Conservation, Sustainable Development, Environmental Justice, and Environmental Education. No closing date. - Rapid Ocean Conservation Grants Program: A project of the Waitt Foundation, which provides small grants for solutions to emerging ocean conservation and protection issues. The grants will fund projects related to the Waitt Foundation’s mission to support sustainable fisheries and marine protected areas. - GEF Small Grants Program (SGP): Embodies the very essence of sustainable development by providing financial and technical support to projects that conserve and restore the environment while improving people’s well-being and livelihoods. No closing date. Apply here.
- Grants from Rapid Response Facility (RRF): The RRF provides emergency support to natural World Heritage sites in times of crisis. The RRF is a partnership between the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and Fauna & Flora International (FFI). RRF grants are available for natural UNESCO World Heritage sites. The RRF only funds actions at a site facing an “emergency” threat to its biodiversity. It does not fund ongoing problems. No closing date. Apply here.
- Community Development Grant: The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) funds the self-help efforts of grassroots groups in Latin America and the Caribbean to improve the living conditions of the disadvantaged and excluded, enhance their decision-making capacity and self-governance, and develop partnerships with the public sector, business and civil society. The IAF looks for the following in a project it funds: Innovative solutions to development problems; diversity of community voices in project development and implementation; substantial involvement of grantees in: the identification of the problem addressed, the approach chosen to solve it, the design of the project and the management and evaluation of activities; partnerships with local government, the business community and other civil society organizations; and evidence of increased capacity for grantee self-governance. - The Christensen Fund: Financial and Logistical Support for Indigenousled and Community-based Organizations: The Christensen Fund provides financial and logistical support to indigenous-led and community-based organizations. The fund focuses on the bicultural: the rich but neglected adaptive web of people and places, culture and ecology. Its mission is to support the efforts of people and institutions who believe in a biodiverse world infused with artistic expression and who work to ensure life forms and landscapes that are beautiful, abundant and resilient. - Swift Foundation Grants to US & Global Organizations Working for Indigenous People Issues: The Swift Foundation is a private foundation that supports cultural and biological diversity through environmental protection and local stewardship in communities around the world.
