CIMA – Cordillera Azul is a solid institution recognized for its significant contribution to the conservation of biological diversity and the sustainable management of natural resources in Peru. It has established effective management of Cordillera Azul National Park in support of the Peruvian government, successfully involving the neighboring communities in its Buffer Zone in this effort, and replicates its model of intervention in other protected areas across the country.
