It has a strong focus on science, the conservation of ecosystems such as the Amazon and the Pacific Ocean, and the improvement of evidence-based medical practices. It is one of the most influential philanthropic foundations in the United States.

The National Service of Natural Protected Areas - SERNANP is responsible for directing and establishing technical and administrative criteria for the conservation of Natural Protected Areas - ANP and for safeguarding the maintenance of biological diversity.

Profonanpe is Peru's environmental fund that provides innovative alternatives for environmental protection and sustainable development.
The Tambopata National Reserve, located in Madre de Dios, is one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. It protects tropical forests, rivers, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. It is a key area for scientific research, ecotourism, and conservation. Furthermore, it serves as a pilot project for sustainable management and environmental protection initiatives in the Peruvian Amazon.
The institutional strengthening of SINANPE (National System of Natural Areas Protected by the State) seeks to improve the management, governance, and sustainability of protected areas in Peru. This includes staff training, process modernization, adequate funding, and the participation of communities and strategic partners. Its objective is to guarantee the effective conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
The General Assembly of Management Committees was held nationwide. This assembly, led by the General Directorate of Natural Areas of SERNANP, took place in Lima in April. Its objectives were to strengthen the capacities of the Management Committee presidents in matters related to participatory management and the new challenges in the management of protected natural areas; to provide input and validation from the management committees to the SINANPE 2024-2034 Master Plan; and to develop a space for dialogue to coordinate the different tools and mechanisms for participation within the National Coordinating Council of Management Committees.

Tambopata for data collection with the tool How are we doing?, which allows participatory and reflective monitoring in the management committees of the protected natural areas of Peru.
Actions to monitor illegal activities and permanent alerts.
The training plan for the Tambopata management committee has been designed and implemented.
