i) Northwest Amotapes Biosphere Reserve

ii) Coastal plain and Lower Piura forest

iii) Chulucanas Tambogrande plains forest

iv) Northern hill dry forests v) Southern hill dry forests

vi) Cascajal-Olmos Plain Forest

The project successfully identified areas for restoration, conducted participatory forest assessments, and diagnosed activities with local producers and leaders, prioritizing work with 11 producer organizations within the project area. The total area to be restored is 559.66 hectares.

The implementation of 5 Field Schools was initiated in communities in the towns of Salas and Laquipampa (Lambayeque), Sechura and Mangamanguilla (Piura) and Tutumo (Tumbes).

The inclusion of the seasonally dry tropical forest of Peru's northern coast in the River Basin Water Resources Management Plans of the four intervention regions was approved. This will be validated by the River Basin Water Resources Council of each region.

At the 8th Regional Forestry Congress (COREFOR), mechanisms were agreed upon for managing the dry forest of Peru's northern coast, which will be monitored by the Northern Forest Macro-regional Platform. Key agreements included institutionalizing COREFOR and proposing policies to allocate funds for forest restoration.

The communication strategy with a gender focus and the knowledge audit were developed, strategic instruments that will strengthen the project's communication channels with its stakeholders, while also boosting the flow of information and knowledge among the actors participating in its activities.
