The Illescas National Reserve, located in Piura, protects unique ecosystems that combine desert, coast, and sea. It is home to a great diversity of fauna, including sea lions, flamingos, and the Andean condor. Its landscape is characterized by cliffs, beaches, and wetlands, making it a key refuge for endangered species. Furthermore, it is ideal for ecotourism and scientific research.

Two editions of Entrepreneurs for Nature in the Illescas National Reserve with the objective of promoting and strengthening four ventures for the sustainable use of natural resources and the landscape associated with the Illescas National Reserve, with a total amount of financing of S/380,000.00.

Three research projects have been funded that aim to enhance the value of the Illescas National Reserve and assess the current status of two key species: the Humboldt Penguins and the Illescas Gecko.

Infrastructure improvements were made to the headquarters and maintenance was provided to the Reventazón checkpoint.

The Illescas National Reserve's Environmental Education Plan was developed and implemented, resulting in the creation of a thematic inclusion guide for primary school teachers in the province of Sechura. Workshops were also conducted with the local population (beach cleanups, talks, etc.) to raise awareness about the importance of the Illescas National Reserve. Additionally, a festival called FestIllescas was held, with the participation of students, teachers, municipal authorities, and others. The festival's objective was to promote the reserve and raise awareness among the population about its conservation.
