Compañía Minera Condestable S.A. (CMC) has been executing since 2013 the Condestable mining project in the district of Mala, province of Cañete. The objective of this project is to exploit a subway iron oxide-copper-gold deposit covering more than 45 thousand hectares. This company also works with the rural community of Mala and, together with Profonanpe, has been implementing a sustainability project, promoted and supported by the company's sustainability department, in order to generate, in the medium and long term, impactful results that contribute to improving the living conditions of the community members, while positively impacting the environment.
