- Minor Foundation for Major Challenges: Norwegian trust that funds communication projects that mitigate anthropogenic climate change. Its ultimate goal is to reach as many people as possible in the hope of limiting and helping to prevent global climate change. - Grants from New England Biolabs Foundation: Funding opportunity focused on community-based nonprofit organizations working to: (1) conserve biological diversity (terrestrial and marine); (2) sustain cultural diversity (linguistic diversity, as well as traditional knowledge systems and practices); (3) maintain ecosystem services (water, soil, and carbon sequestration); (4) support food sovereignty and economic vitality of local communities; (5) maintain healthy reefs and fisheries (marine environment). As a primary requirement your proposal must be pragmatic in nature and have a substantial and lasting impact. You should also consider the participation of the community within your scope of action. - Grant program from OFID: It has several financing schemes that include public sector loans, private sector support and grant financing. Its focus areas are energy, agriculture, water and sanitation, health and education. Its grant program focuses on technical assistance, support for the people of Palestine, energy poverty, HIV/AIDS program, research or similar intellectual activities and emergency relief.
