Find the financing opportunity you need for your projects

If you are looking to contribute to sustainable development in the country, conservation, and promote climate change mitigation measures, find the financing program you need.

March 2022. – Profonanpe, the Peruvian Environmental Fund, is an ally of organizations working for nature conservation. Therefore, we share some funding opportunities that can add to your project to contribute to sustainable development in the country, conservation, promote climate change mitigation measures, promote the care of agrobiodiversity, among others.

 

  • Research Grants from BES: Aimed at projects with a scientific ecological focus. Research grants provide funding (1) for new and innovative ecological research; (2) for pump-priming projects; or (3) to help establish a research career in ecology for ecologists with few years of experience. Closing date: March 18, 2022. Apply here.

 

  • Outreach Grants from BES: Support projects that (1) increase public understanding and engagement with ecology, (2) stimulate discussion about ecology and its implications for society, (3) inspire and excite people of all ages about the science of ecology, especially those who were not previously interested, or (4) develop skills in communicating the science of ecology. Closing date: March 18, 2022. Apply here.

 

  • Coastal Resilience Story Grants 2022: Promote cross-border stories that explore coastal resilience issues, including ecosystem rehabilitation, livelihoods, food security, housing and infrastructure, land use and development, and more. Closing date: March 7. Apply here.

 

  • Rufford Foundation: Provides grants for nature conservation projects in developing countries. As a primary requirement, your proposal must be pragmatic in nature and have a substantial and lasting impact. You must also consider the participation of the community within your scope of action. There is no closing date. Submit your proposal here. 

 

  • Grant program from OFID: It has several financing schemes that include public sector loans, private sector support and grant financing.  It focuses on energy, agriculture, water and sanitation, health, and education. Its grant program focuses on technical assistance, support for the people of Palestine, energy poverty, HIV/AIDS program, research or similar intellectual activities, and emergency relief.   • Rainforest Trust Support: Partner with local organizations focused on conservation to create new protected areas and safeguard endangered species and intact landscapes. Closing dates: February 1st, June 1st, and November 1st. Apply here.

 

  • 4th Biophilia Award for Environmental Communication: Award recognizing contributions in any aspect of environmental communication, especially in the areas of biodiversity conservation and climate change, characterized by a particularly innovative approach. Closing date: May 31. Apply here. 

 

  • DRL Supporting Environmental Defenders in Latin America: Seeks proposals to advance three key objectives: strengthen networks of environmental defenders and capacity to promote justice in environmental matters; strengthen the capacity of women environmental defenders to address gender-specific threats and challenges in the field; and improve measures to prevent and increase accountability for violence against environmental defenders. Closing date: April 23. Apply here.

 

  • Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund: Open call for proposals in Tropical Andes: Considers 5 cross-cutting themes: recovery of KBAs affected by COVID-19 and their economies based on ecological objectives; integration of gender equality in conservation strategies and projects; capacity building of indigenous peoples and local civil society; promotion of long-term financial sustainability; and contribution to climate change adaptation and mitigation. Closing date: March 27. Apply here.
