We contributed to strengthening the effective management* of 22 Amazonian protected natural areas, covering an area of 13.5 million hectares (*see the definition of "effective management" in the Implementation Strategy of the Natural Heritage Initiative of Peru).

It contributed to the institutional positioning of the Natural Heritage Initiative of Peru as a national strategy for financial sustainability in ANP, reflected in the SERNANP Master Plan.

We contributed to SERNANP in identifying gaps in the effective management of protected natural areas, which were reflected in SERNANP's Financial Plan.

The Implementation Strategy for the Natural Heritage Initiative of Peru was updated.

The incorporation of the monitoring and economic activities component was achieved in the update of the National Biodiversity Strategy (DS N° 008-2024-MINAM).

 

The Gender Action Plan for Protected Natural Areas (ANPs) was designed, which will be applied by SERNANP for the entire SINANPE.
