Call for content creators committed to the environment to be the next Environmental Reporters of Peru (RAP)

Lima, March 2023. – Profonanpe, Peru’s private environmental fund, has launched a new call to select content creators and influencers for the third edition of the successful Environmental Reporters of Peru (RAP) project, which will disseminate projects that promote conservation in the country.

This digital project, since its first edition, aims to make visible initiatives that promote environmental sustainability in different regions of Peru, through the experiential experience of different young Peruvian content creators and influencers. The programs will be featured on Profonanpe’s Instagram and TikTok.

The call is aimed at Instagram and TikTok content generators over 18 years old, in Peru and with experience in short-form digital formats. The call will be open from March 14th until April 4th. Interested young people can send their videos to @profonanpe’s Instagram telling us who they are, where they live in Peru and why they would like to be part of this new season.

After the selection of videos, the Profonanpe team will select the next 3 Environmental Reporters of Peru, who will join Renata Flores, Peruvian singer of Andean music, hip hop, pop and Latin trap who was included in the list of the 50 most powerful women in Peru, according to Forbes 2022.

The selected Environmental Reporters will travel to different regions of the country with expenses paid by Profonanpe and will receive training to enhance their expressive skills, their performance in front of the camera and to reinforce interviewing techniques.

 

The fact

The first season featured 6 content creators from Apurímac, Cusco, Loreto, Lima, among other Peruvian departments, who traveled to different destinations to show the environmental challenges facing Peru, as well as innovative solutions promoted by Profonanpe and its allies.

One of its most widely distributed videos surpassed one million views and raised the issue of biofertilizers and how a group of women in Carquin, Huacho, worked with fish waste to address the shortage of fertilizers.
