Organic cocoa production
The Asociación de Productores Agropecuarios y Forestales Sancore Sector de Pampa Cocha (APAFS-PC) belongs to the group of Yanesha producers that promote “cacao without deforestation” in the Yanesha Communal Reserve. The association was formed in 2004 with 12 active members and currently has 35 members (15 women).
The producers and managers of the association need to strengthen their capacities to develop the potential of their enterprise and implement improvements that will allow them to grow and reach the highest quality standards that Peruvian cocoa can achieve, combining these techniques with their current traditional harvesting techniques.
Yanesha Communal Reserve (Buffer Zone)
Improve the quality of life of the cocoa-producing families of the Sancore de Pampa Cocha Association of Agricultural and Livestock Forest Producers by improving their income from the sale of cocoa as part of the conservation agreements with the Yanesha Communal Reserve.
- Adoption of a new technology for organic cocoa production. - Improvement of key processes in the productive and commercial competitiveness of APAFS - PC producers as part of the conservation agreements of the Yanesha Communal Reserve.
