Grade blood management
The proposal “Sustainable use of Sangre de Grado in native Asháninka communities of the Pichis Valley, Puerto Bermúdez, Pasco” seeks to provide support to 20 Asháninka villagers (10 men and 10 women) from 5 native communities in the sustainable use of Sangre de Grado latex, who are also committed to the conservation of their riparian forests located in the vicinity of the El Sira Communal Reserve and the San Matías San Carlos Protected Forest.
The present financing seeks to strengthen the villagers in capacity building, provision of equipment and organizational development. This enterprise represents a sustainable activity that constitutes an alternative to activities such as coca plantation management.

Strengthen the actions of grade blood management with Asháninka settlers of the Pichis Valley through training, equipment and organization in order to improve the use of agroforestry resources, family welfare and conservation of the forest and its ecosystem services.

1. Generation of information through inventories of the blood-of-grade plantations. 2. Technical training, equipment and advice. 3. Formalization and organization of the plantations before SERFOR to obtain better economic benefits in the commercialization.
