Processing of huasaí pulp
The Asociación de Productores Agropecuarios de la Biodiversidad de San Martin del Medio Purús (APAB) was established in 2010 by members of the native community of San Martin, belonging to the Huni Kuin de Purús ethnic group.
They need to strengthen their capacities and improve the conditions in which they develop their production chain to obtain huasaí pulp from APAB producers and residents of 12 native communities located in the Alto Purus National Park (PNAP) and the Purus Communal Reserve (RCP).
Alto Purus National Park and Purus Communal Reserve

Improve the limited skills in the different stages of the production chain for obtaining huasaí pulp of APAB producers and settlers in the native communities located in the Alto Purús National Park and the Purús Communal Reserve, Ucayali.

- Improve the infrastructure conditions of the huasaí pulping plant. - Acquisition of goods, supplies and equipment necessary for the production of huasaí pulp. - Technical assistance and capacity building for the native communities that harvest huasaí and produce huasaí pulp in Purús.
