Strengthening tourism activities
It is closely linked to the sustainable use of natural resources in the Yanesha Communal Reserve (RCY) and Yanachaga Chemillen National Park (PNYCH) Natural Protected Areas (NPAs), starting its activities with the collaboration of the ECA AMARCY Management Contract Executor and the Yanesha Communal Reserve - SERNANP.
Yanachaga Chemillen National Park and Yanesha Communal Reserve
Direct: 20 members of the Association.
Indirect: Inhabitants of the Anexo Playa Caliente (12 families) and of the C.P. Iscozacín of the District of Palcazú (approximately 500 families). In total, 512 families are benefited.
The partners with whom the project will be implemented are the following: The Head of the Yanesha Communal Reserve and the Yanachaga Chemillen National Park of SERNANP; the Association for the Conservation and Management of the Yanesha Communal Reserve - AMARCY, who is the Executor of the Administration Contract of the RCY and the District Municipality of Palcazú.
Improve the supply of tourism services for the resources identified in the Buffer Zone of the RCY and PNYCh in the District of Palcazú, Oxapampa, Pasco, in order to reduce the pressure on the ecosystems of the NPAs.
- Enhancing the value of tourism resources identified in the Buffer Zone of the YYRN and YYNP. - Improving the quality of the tourist services offered in the Pan de Azúcar sector towards the limits of the YYRN and YYNP. - Revitalizing the local economy, which has been affected by the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
