Strengthening the use of drifted trees
It is closely linked to the sustainable use of natural resources in the Manu National Park (PNM) Protected Natural Area (ANP) and its purpose is to harvest the trees carried by the Manu River, which are transformed into lumber and used to build wooden boats. In addition, they work hand in hand with the Manu National Park under a natural resource use contract.

Association of artisan collectors of ecological logs of Boca Manu and Isla de los Valles - Aarte Manu: It is made up of 62 members who are part of the population of the town of Boca Manu and native communities of Isla de los Valles. It is important to point out that part of the benefits obtained are distributed to the native communities of the interior of the Manu National Park, which are Tayacome, Tsireritshi, Saguiremenique and Yomibato.
