Lhe APUAPISEM Association is made up of the following members 5 communities of the Awajún ethnic group. The project is linked to the sustainable use of natural resources in the Santiago Comainas Natural Protected Area (ZRSC) and aims to find sustainable development alternatives based on the use of its ecosystems. In addition, they have implemented a common benefit plant for processing aguaje.

It also has commercial allies such as CANDELA PERU, with whom it has a commercial contract for aguaje oils. This contract could be extended to new subproducts such as aguaje exfoliating soaps.
The initiative's alliance with Sierra y Selva Exportadora, with whom APUAPISEM has been developing a commercial and marketing strengthening plan, is noteworthy.
