  • CGIAR Agrobiodiversity Innovation Challenge 2021: The challenge seeks to support innovators who are working on new products, services and best practices that use agrobiodiversity to transform food systems. Closing date: September 30, 2021. Apply here.

 

  • Microsoft "AI for Earth" grant: It seeks to support projects that use AI (artificial intelligence) to change the way people and organizations monitor, model, and manage Earth's natural systems. Closing dateOctober 4, 2021. Apply here.

 

  • New Voices Scholarship Call for Applications: It is a one-year, non-residential program that provides intensive media and advocacy training for frontline development experts. It will recruit fellows who are development experts in fields such as food security, global health, human rights, and climate change. Closing date: October 20, 2021. Apply here.

 

  • Eurofins Foundation Grants: Its purpose is to protect the environment, improve nutrition and health, help NGOs working in environmental protection, promote social inclusion, and support students conducting research in these fields. Closing date: October 31, 2021. Apply here.

 

  • Whitley Awards 2022: The Whitley Awards are for mid-career conservation professionals who are successful, dynamic, and leading wildlife conservation projects that engage local communities. They are interested in seeing applications from conservationists working to conserve marine and freshwater ecosystems, in addition to those conserving terrestrial biodiversity.   • Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act grant program: The objectives are: to perpetuate healthy populations of Neotropical migratory birds; to assist in the conservation of Neotropical migratory birds by supporting conservation initiatives; to provide financial resources and to foster international cooperation.   • Prince Bernhard Nature Fund Grants: Aimed at NGOs, this fund actively focuses on smaller grassroots organizations that struggle to find funding elsewhere. Its objective is to help save critically endangered flora and fauna, focusing on species of concern on the IUCN Red List. Closing date: February 1, 2022. Apply here.

 

  • Fast-track awards for the viability of protected areas: It seeks to find new conservation partners who are committed to establishing and/or expanding protected areas for critically endangered and endangered species (according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species). It has no deadline. Apply here.

 

  • Inspiring action, annual grants for conservation: The Disney Conservation Fund gives priority consideration to programs that address a significant and urgent conservation need. Closing date: October 15, 2021. Apply here.

 

  • 2021 Biodiversity Media Grants for Journalist Networks: It aims to provide grants for networks of journalists and media organizations that are working to improve media coverage of biodiversity and conservation issues in countries where information is most threatened and most urgently needed.   • Youth Innovation Challenge: It is designed to awaken a sense of urgency in young people aged 24 and under, encouraging, inspiring, and supporting them to become problem solvers in their communities and the world.   • iF Social Impact Award: Its aim is to publish and support projects that contribute to our society. The general public is invited to submit any projects that help address the most pressing challenges of our time and improve current conditions. It has no deadline. Apply here.
