If you are looking to contribute to sustainable development in the country, conservation, promote mitigation measures in the face of climate change, find the financing program you need.

Profonanpe, the Environmental Fund of Peru, is an ally of organizations that work for the conservation of nature. For this reason, we share some financing opportunities that can add to your project to contribute to sustainable development in the country, conservation, promote mitigation measures against climate change, promote the care of agrobiodiversity, among others.

 

  • Conservation, Food and Health Foundation Grant Program: The foundation supports projects that demonstrate local leadership and promote professional development in conservation, agriculture and health sciences; build the capacity of local organizations; and address a particular problem or question in the field. Closing date: January 1. Apply here.

 

  • Crowder Messersmith Conservation Fund: Funds small local conservation and education projects in developing countries. Projects must focus on nature conservation and education, benefit threatened or endangered species or habitats, include a public education component, involve the local population, among others. Closing date: January 6. Apply here.

 

  • The Christensen Fund: Provides financial and logistical support to indigenous-led and community-based organizations. Applicant organizations must be from the United States, similar nonprofit institutions, government units, universities, or museums from the United States or another country. It does not have a closing date. Apply here.

 

  • Swift Foundation Grants to US & Global Organizations Working for Indigenous People Issues: Private foundation that supports cultural and biological diversity through environmental protection and local stewardship of communities around the world. It funds both one-time program grants and long-term partnerships. It does not have a closing date. Apply here.

 

  • IAF: Community Development Grant Program: Invests in community-led development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. They partner with local organizations that identify innovative yet viable solutions to local development challenges, particularly in disadvantaged or excluded communities.   • New England Biolabs Foundation Grants: Supports grassroots organizations and other NGOs working to: conserve biological diversity; sustain cultural diversity ; maintain ecosystem services; support the food sovereignty and economic vitality of local communities; in the marine environment, maintaining healthy reefs and fisheries. It does not have a closing date. Apply here.

 

  • Rufford Foundation: Provides grants for nature conservation projects in developing countries. As a primary requirement, your proposal must be pragmatic in nature and have a substantial and lasting impact. Likewise, you should consider the participation of the community that is within your scope of action. It does not have a closing date. Submit your proposal here.

 

  • Grant program from OFID: It has several financing schemes that include loans to the public sector, support to the private sector and financing through grants. Its focus areas are: energy, agriculture, water and sanitation, health and education. Its grant program focuses on technical assistance, support for the people of Palestine, energy poverty, HIV/AIDS program, research or similar intellectual activities, and emergency relief.
