The winning organizations will develop initiatives aimed at strengthening food security, livelihood diversification and sustainable ecosystem management in a territory highly vulnerable to climate change.
The financing will enable the implementation of measures such as the protection and recovery of water sources, the construction of reservoirs and forest nurseries, reforestation with Tara seedlings, the improvement of pastures and soils, as well as the strengthening of sustainable production chains such as improved guinea pig breeding and the development of handicrafts with a circular approach.
Among the winning organizations is the Asociación de Productoras La Flor de Tucman, led by Gianinna Gil, which promotes a sustainable handicrafts proposal based on the reuse of disused materials.
“We are thirteen families in the association. We want to innovate by reusing products that are usually discarded and transform them into handicrafts. We make shawls, ponchos, blankets, saddlebags and other textiles.”said the president of the association.
