The competition will provide repayable and non-repayable funding to climate adaptation initiatives that contribute to conserving the puna, to peasant communities and their livelihoods. 

This call involves 58 districts in Arequipa, Apurímac, Cusco, Puno and Lima (Yauyos province).

• Window 1:  Communities, producer associations and cooperatives in alliance with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)

• Window 2: Micro and/or small businesses, community-based businesses, producer associations and cooperatives that have clear commercial objectives and target markets.

• Window 3: Organizations with a recently approved business plan and an agreement signed by Agroideas or in the implementation phase. 

The Local Initiatives that will be selected must include the following measures:

Main Value Chains of camelids (alpacas, llamas and vicuña) and high Andean crops (quinoa, native varieties of potato). 

Eligible Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Measures:

Conservation and restoration of peat bogs, family ponds, agroforestry, restoration of forests with native species, restoration of terraces and platforms, integrated soil fertility management, infiltration trenches, contour farming, conservation agriculture and sustainable pasture management.
