The Ministry of the Environment promotes the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, the enhancement of biological diversity and environmental quality for the benefit of people and the environment

The PNCBMCC (Programa Bosques) contributes to forest conservation, together with native communities, farmers, indigenous organizations, regional and local governments and civil society.
MINAM is the agency responsible for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, the enhancement of biodiversity and environmental quality for the benefit of people and the environment, in a decentralized manner and in coordination with public and private organizations and civil society, within the framework of green growth and environmental governance.
The National Service of Natural Protected Areas - SERNANP is responsible for directing and establishing the technical and administrative criteria for the conservation of Natural Protected Areas - ANP, and for safeguarding the maintenance of biological diversity.
The Interethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Jungle is the organization that brings together the indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Amazon, through its 9 regional grassroots organizations, articulating efforts for the defense and respect of their collective rights.
Twenty-two incentive management plans have been prepared for the communities that joined the National Forest Conservation Program for Climate Change Mitigation (Programa Nacional de Conservación de Bosques para la Mitigación del Cambio Climático, PNCBMCC).
An Incentive Manual was prepared for the implementation of the Incentive Fund within the framework of the Conditional Direct Transfer (CCT) mechanism.
31 articulation agreements were signed (1 at the national level; 8 at the regional level and 22 at the sectoral level).
Thirty-one forest conservation talks were held (01 at the national level; 8 at the regional level and 22 at the local level).
The capacities of 56 professionals of the PNCBMCC Technical Unit were strengthened to follow up on the signed articulation agreements.
Twelve PNCBMCC professionals were trained in Project Management.
With the participation of AIDESEP, support was given to the process of legal physical reorganization of 25 Native Communities (CCNN) with the following scopes: 01 recognized native community; 02 communities with an approved perimeter plan; 09 communities with field work; 06 communities with completed field work and anthropological report issued and 07 communities that have a technical team selected for the field work.
The Forest Reference Emission Level (NREF) has been updated to incorporate additional biomes and REDD+ activities.
Support was provided to MINAM for the operation of the National Registry of Mitigation Measures (RENAMI).
