Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF)

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund is a joint initiative of the French Development Agency, Conservation International, the European Union, the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Canada, the Government of Japan, and the World Bank. Its fundamental goal is to ensure that civil society is engaged in the conservation of biological diversity.

We are the first national private institution accredited by GCF, and the project is the first approved worldwide by this fund.

 

In this third phase, the RIT is comprised of Profonanpe in Peru, Patrimonio Natural de Colombia, and the Bolivian Association for Research and Conservation of Andean-Amazonian Ecosystems (ACEAA) in Bolivia. These organizations work directly with CEPF partners in Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia, respectively, helping to develop local capacity and implementing the CEPF strategy in the hotspot. Profonanpe assumes the role of regional coordinator for the RIT.
