Since its inception, the Tenure Facility has been a pioneer in providing flexible, timely and direct support to indigenous peoples and local community organizations. Focused primarily on the Amazon, Congo Basin and tropical Asia, we began as the first international financial mechanism dedicated exclusively to the land and forest rights of indigenous peoples and local communities.
We are the first national private institution accredited by GCF, and the project is the first approved worldwide by this fund.
