This guide aims to guide potential beneficiaries of the EBBF Amazonia project, at the Eco and Biobusiness (EBB) level, in the management of the environmental and social risks of their projects.

This document establishes the framework for the effective management of complaints and claims within the "Financial Facility for Eco and Biobusinesses" (EBBF Amazonia) project. It details the principles, objectives, procedures, and communication channels designed to promote transparency, participation, and respect for human rights.

The Accountability and Complaints Mechanism (MRCQ) is the tool of the EBBF Amazonia project that establishes the roles, functions and procedures to resolve complaints generated within the framework of the implementation of its actions and/or eco and biobusinesses, in order to address them in a relevant, timely and responsible manner.

This infographic summarizes the implementation process of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) applied during the Amazonian Bioinvestment competition, within the framework of the Peruvian Amazonian Eco- and Biobusiness Financing Facility (EBBF) project. It highlights key stages of the process, such as environmental and social risk assessment, the development of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) or Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAPs), the signing of financing agreements, and continuous monitoring and reporting, including specific components on gender and indigenous peoples.
