Establish and manage a trust fund exclusively for the remediation of environmental liabilities from mining activities that the State assumes in the department of Cajamarca and complementarily in other areas defined by the MEM.

The Peruvian State and the population affected by the mining environmental liabilities are the main beneficiaries of the project, insofar as the constitution and administration of a trust fund will allow financing in a sustainable, efficient and transparent manner the remediation of such liabilities assumed by the State in the department of Cajamarca and, in a complementary manner, in other areas defined by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
