It is a financial mechanism that seeks to channel and manage contributions from public and private institutions to invest them in conservation actions and the promotion of a water culture, promoted to improve the management of water resources in the Chira Piura basin.
It is a financial mechanism that seeks to channel and manage contributions from public and private institutions to invest them in conservation actions and the promotion of a water culture, promoted to improve the management of water resources in the Chira Piura basin.
Approximately 150 families benefited and directly participated in the interventions.
A contribution to the conservation of 10,000 hectares of forest and moorland was recorded in the headwaters of the basin.
An intervention of 241 ha was carried out through reforestation, revegetation and protection of natural forests and moorlands (193 ha reforested in degraded areas, 43 ha revegetated natural forests, 05 ha of agroforestry systems with infiltration ditches and technified irrigation).
Contribution to 15 protected and revegetated springs.
Sustainable production chains that are friendly to natural ecosystems were strengthened: the trout chain and the dairy chain.
The construction of 02 qochas (2,353.77 m3) was carried out as a strategy for planting and water harvesting.
A hydrological monitoring system was implemented, operated and maintained in 03 microbasins of the upper basin, under the multi-basin methodology (impact, reference and control), to measure the impact of the interventions executed on the water ecosystem services.
Studies were developed for the prioritization and optimization of resources for intervention in the Chira Piura basin (01 investment portfolio, 01 study of priority areas for intervention) as part of the implementation of the Water Resources Management Plan for the Chira Piura Basin.
