It aims to increase the resilience of rural families to the effects of climate change, particularly in the face of events such as droughts and frosts that reduce agricultural productivity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also contributes to the organizational strengthening and economic empowerment of rural women, who play a key role in managing household resources, preserving local knowledge, and implementing adaptation practices in their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/living-watersheds\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living Basins<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is implemented by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Profonanpe<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with financing from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adaptation-fund.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/AFOverview-SPANISH-11.6.2014.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adaptation Fund<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and led by<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mountain.pe\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Mountain Institute<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Santa river basin, in the Ancash region.
