The communities and civil society organizations (CSOs) that were pre-selected in the second call of the Puna Competitive Fund of the Resilient Puna project are working on the diagnosis and planning process of their Local Initiatives (IL).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is part of the second stage, in which the 40 pre-selected initiatives, 36 in window 1 (reimbursable funds) and 4 in window 2 (non-reimbursable funds), are refining their proposals for adaptation to climate change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As part of this, the Cusquenian communities of <\/span>Choquecancha (Lares), Lahua Lahua Patatinta (San Pablo), Ccuyo (Marangani), Checacupe, Limbani Alto Huallatani (Layo), Sambor (Huarocondo) and Pataccalasaya (Sicuani), with the support of organizations such as Caritas Cusco, CADEP, CBC, CCAIJO, CFC and IDMA, conduct field visits, value chain analysis, integrating local knowledge and know-how.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

From this application process, for non-reimbursable funds, 30 local initiatives are expected to be selected that will have access to financing of up to S\/. 400 thousand for non-reimbursable funds (donation) as well as technical assistance for their implementation.<\/span>, The project will contribute to the resilience of high Andean ecosystems and the livelihoods of the communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Improvement of local initiatives for the application of the Puna Competitive Fund<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, associations and cooperatives from Puno and Cusco have submitted 4 applications for reimbursable funds (window 2) of the Puna Competitive Fund, to access financing of up to S\/800 thousand, which will be evaluated and the results will be announced on June 8.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
