<\/p>\nAs part of the agreement signed between Profonanpe and the Provincial Municipality of Oxapampa, the Activity Plan for the Protection of Pollinating Insects in the Oxapampa-Ashaninka-Y\u00e1nesha Biosphere Reserve (BIOAY) was approved. This instrument, promoted as part of the Poli-LAC project, contributes to integrating the protection of pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, flies and beetles, into local public management.<\/p>\n

The approval of the plan strengthens territorial governance by establishing guidelines and actions aimed at protecting pollinators, recognizing their importance for biodiversity and production systems. It also promotes coordination between public, private and civil society actors.<\/p>\n

The main actions include strengthening governance and local institutions in this area, promoting pollinator-friendly practices in territorial marks, promoting environmental education, including sustainability criteria in public financial mechanisms (Procompite), raising awareness among civil society in urban and rural areas, and training in pollinator-friendly practices and the responsible use of agrochemicals.<\/p>\n
