{"id":51810,"date":"2026-03-06T09:17:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T14:17:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/?p=51810"},"modified":"2026-03-22T23:12:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T04:12:03","slug":"peru-reports-strategic-advances-in-the-protection-of-pollinating-insects-with-poli-lac-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/peru-reporta-avances-estrategicos-en-la-proteccion-de-insectos-polinizadores-con-el-proyecto-poli-lac\/","title":{"rendered":"Peru reports strategic progress in protecting pollinating insects with the Poli-LAC project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The governments of Germany, Brazil, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mexico, Paraguay<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Costa Rica and Peru reported on progress in the protection of pollinating insects during the second Regional Steering Committee of the Poli-LAC project. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Peru, key milestones for biodiversity and sustainable agriculture were reported, such as the work to promote 02 conservation agreements in the Oxapampa-Ash\u00e1ninka-Y\u00e1nesha Biosphere Reserve (BIOAY), where the Poli-LAC project is being developed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the result of a joint effort between the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM), GIZ and Profonanpe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Technical and territorial leadership in BIOAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On behalf of the Ministry of the Environment, the Vice-Minister of Strategic Development of Natural Resources, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Romina Caminada presented the progress that has been made based on the technical reports prepared by Profonanpe, the implementing partner of the Poli-LAC project, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the Oxapampa-Ash\u00e1ninka-Y\u00e1nesha Biosphere Reserve (BIOAY).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The successful selection of pilot sites and the validation of Pollinator Friendly Practices (PAP) in coffee, avocado and passion fruit crops, aimed at habitat conservation at the landscape scale, were highlighted.
