{"id":44740,"date":"2025-05-27T16:53:31","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T21:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/?p=44740"},"modified":"2025-07-02T13:21:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T18:21:52","slug":"environmental-education-workshops-in-the-berlin-forest-acp-strengthen-biodiversity-conservation-in-amazonas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/talleres-de-educacion-ambiental-en-el-acp-bosque-berlin-fortalecen-la-conservacion-de-la-biodiversidad-en-amazonas\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental Education Workshops in the Berlin Forest Private Conservation Area strengthen biodiversity conservation in the Amazon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who participated in the educational workshops<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photography: Eduard Valdivia<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Students and local communities participated in environmental awareness and action days within the framework of the Conserva Aves project.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During November 28, 29 and 30, 2024, the AMA Network organized a <\/span><b><i>series of environmental education workshops<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the educational institutions \u201cRam\u00f3n Castilla\u201d in Miraflores, \u201cToribio Rodr\u00edguez de Mendoza\u201d in Rosapampa and in ACP Bosque Berl\u00edn itself. \"Toribio Rodr\u00edguez de Mendoza\" in Rosapampa and in the ACP Bosque Berl\u00edn, with the purpose of <\/span><b><i>promote biodiversity conservation in the protected areas of northern Peru. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These workshops, which involved more than 118 participants, were part of an ongoing effort by <\/span><b><i>strengthen local capacities in conservation issues and sensitize communities on the importance of protecting birds and their habitats.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>About the project<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bosque Berl\u00edn ACP is part of the \u00abConserve Birds\u00bb project, an initiative that seeks to create and strengthen private conservation areas in the Tropical Andes of Northern Peru. These activities not only promoted the <\/span><b><i>hands-on learning<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but also <\/span><b><i>offered participants the opportunity to express themselves creatively about the biodiversity that surrounds them.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00abParticipating in bird watching allowed me to see with different eyes how valuable these species are to our forest.
