So far, <\/span><b>14 regions have been severely affected, with more than 80 fires destroying thousands of hectares of forests and farmland. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The situation is critical, with 10 people dead, more than 1,800 displaced, and a devastating loss of biodiversity, with thousands of species of flora and fauna affected, according to the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In response to this emergency, <\/span><b>Profonanpe, Peru\u2019s environmental fund, has allocated an emergency funding line of up to $100,000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to support organizations working tirelessly to combat these fires.
