Or that every year new ventures emerge that transform these resources into sustainable economic opportunities?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emprendedores por Naturaleza is a contest that promotes the development of sustainable projects.<\/strong> based on the responsible use of natural resources in Natural Protected Areas (NPA).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This initiative is led by Sernanp and, in its 2024 edition, a total amount of <strong>3 million soles to finance 59 ventures<\/strong> which include activities such as ecotourism, food production, handicrafts and sustainable agroecosystem management. This funding has been possible thanks to the support of key partners such as Profonananpe, AIDER, CIMA, Andes Amazon Fund, PetroTal Peru and Conservation International.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u00abToday we celebrated the outstanding achievements of those who are at the forefront of protecting our biodiversity and the sustainable development of our communities. Their dedication and efforts are an inspiration to us all,\u201d said Juan Carlos Castro, Minister of the Environment.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The winning projects include initiatives such as the implementation of an interactive bioarcheological laboratory, the improvement of beverage and handicraft production chains, and the strengthening of tourism in protected areas. In the national competition, <strong>has earmarked 1.4 million soles to support 26 ventures<\/strong>, which promote sustainable activities within several of the country's PNAs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it has provided specific support in the Illescas National Reserve,<strong> financing 4 ventures for a total of 130,000 soles.<\/strong>. This intervention seeks to foster sustainable development in this recently protected area, promoting innovation in projects that contribute to the conservation of its valuable marine and terrestrial biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>During the event, the launching of the VII Sernanp Scholarship Competition for priority research in natural protected areas was also announced.<\/strong>, as well as the I Scholarship Competition for the innovation of products derived from biodiversity. Both initiatives seek to strengthen knowledge and management of these unique ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abToday we recognize visionaries who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to our biodiversity, developing innovative solutions in our Natural Protected Areas.
