Therefore, we are sharing some funding and training opportunities you can apply for in October that can enhance your project and contribute to climate change adaptation, sustainable development, and other areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Open Call for Small-Scale Development Projects \u2013 Peru and Ecuador<\/strong><br>\nThe purpose is to provide funding for small-scale projects in Peru and Ecuador in 2025. These projects must generate long-term sustainable results, promote positive change, and improve opportunities for the most vulnerable people.<strong> Deadline: October 4. <a href=\"https:\/\/mzv.gov.cz\/lima\/es\/comercio_y_economia\/convocatoria_2025_para_proyectos_de.html\" target=\"_self\">Apply here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Call for Entries: Young Inventors Prize<\/strong><br>\nThe Young Inventors Prize is an award presented by the European Patent Office (EPO) that celebrates young innovators under the age of 30 who, through their scientific and technological inventions, address critical global issues defined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  <strong>Deadline: September 27. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epo.org\/en\/news-events\/young-inventors-prize\" target=\"_self\">Apply here. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The Elsevier Foundation Chemistry for Climate Action Challenge 2025<\/strong><br>\nThe \u201cChemistry for Climate Action Challenge\u201d is an initiative of the Elsevier Foundation, in collaboration with Elsevier\u2019s chemistry journals. This challenge awards cash prizes to projects that use green and sustainable chemistry solutions to address climate challenges in the Global South. Projects must contribute to both Climate Action (SDG 13) and Gender Equality (SDG 5).  <strong>Deadline: September 15.<a href=\"https:\/\/elsevierfoundation.org\/chemistry-for-climate-action-challenge\/?utm_source=social+media&amp;utm_medium=social+media+\" target=\"_self\"> Apply here. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Applications to the EPIC Air Quality Fund<\/strong><br>\nThe Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) is accepting applications for the Air Quality Fund. Financial support will be provided to 10 to 15 selected groups over an 18-month period. The Air Quality Fund is designed to support local organizations that install air quality monitors and openly share the collected data, with the goal of generating significant national impact.<strong> Deadline: September 10.<a href=\"https:\/\/epic.uchicago.edu\/epic-air-quality-fund-applications\/\" target=\"_self\"> Apply here. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Insect Week Photography Competition<\/strong><br>\nThe 2024 Insect Week Photography Competition is an annual contest organized by the Royal Entomological Society, inviting amateur photographers to submit their best photographs of insects. Projects should address the following questions in some way: What does it mean to be human? What are the limits of the Earth\u2014or, more precisely, what are the limits of what we can understand?
