Achieving these objectives requires raising awareness within the community, which is already working closely with the project on the recovery and conservation of agrobiodiversity-derived foods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, this plan will also achieve <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the financing of actions that allow its preservation, as well as supporting new financing at the public level and international cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_28345\" community.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b>The fact<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The district of Lares is immersed in the Puno \u2013 Cusco corridor, the only Peruvian space declared as a GIPAM site in 2011, in the Peasant Communities: Lares Ayllu Talana, Choquecancha and Ccachin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located in the central Andes, one of the eight world centers of plant domestication and the most important mountain system in South America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_28343\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28343\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-28343 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/03-min.png\" alt=\"La Red de J\u00f3venes Agricultores y Comunicadores Rurales tambi\u00e9n estuvieron presentes, ellos y ellas son information about actions in the district, as well as the challenges they face due to the effects of climate change in their locality.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><b>About the GEF Agrobiodiversity GIAHS project<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The GEF Agrobiodiversity SIPAM project seeks to conserve agrobiodiversity in the localities of Acora (Puno), Huayana (Apurimac), Lares (Cusco), Laria (Huancavelica) and Atiquipa (Arequipa), through traditional farming systems, integrated management of forests, water and land resources; and the maintenance of ecosystem services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative is financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), executed by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, with the implementation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the administration of
