{"id":26878,"date":"2023-01-25T16:24:27","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T21:24:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/?p=26878"},"modified":"2023-01-26T09:35:28","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T14:35:28","slug":"reserva-nacional-illescas-fortalece-su-gestion-con-nueva-infraestructura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/reserva-nacional-illescas-fortalece-su-gestion-con-nueva-infraestructura\/","title":{"rendered":"Illescas National Reserve strengthens its management with new infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to monitor the progress of the works that strengthen the management of the Illescas National Reserve, the Ministry of the Environment \u2013 MINAM, the National Service of Natural Protected Areas by the State \u2013 SERNANP, the German Cooperation and Profonanpe learned about the infrastructure improvements that the PAN III Project is implementing, through the installation of surveillance and control posts, shelters, viewpoints and signage at different strategic points of this protected natural area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Illescas National Reserve is a protected natural area located in Sechura, Piura, characterized by a coastal desert climate. This protected area preserves a significant sample of the country&#039;s desert landscape, as well as diverse plant formations that create unique habitats for various endemic and wild species.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to its importance, the PAN III project is implementing infrastructure improvements, which consist of the construction of two surveillance and control posts, a shelter, three viewpoints and internal signage for the Illescas National Reserve (RNI) which is managed by Sernanp in the Piura region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26881\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26881\" style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26881 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Illescas fue reconocida como Zona Reservada en el 2010 y categorizada en el 2021 con el apoyo del proyecto PAN III; desde entonces, con esta alianza viene fortaleciendo su infraestructura para una mejor gesti\u00f3n de su biodiversidad, as\u00ed como la gesti\u00f3n del turismo y la pesca.\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-scaled.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DSC02590-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26881\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Illescas was recognized as a Reserved Zone in 2010 and categorized in 2021 with the support of the PAN III project; since then, with this alliance, it has been strengthening its infrastructure for better management of its biodiversity, as well as the management of tourism and fishing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe role of protected natural areas is to preserve our natural resources and generate well-being for the surrounding community through ecotourism, which provides a decent income for the population. This monitoring and control post will provide a better quality of life for the park rangers, who leave their families for many days to care for the wonderful protected natural areas that we have inherited and that it is our responsibility to protect,\u201d highlighted the Minister of the Environment, Albina Ruiz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For his part, Simon Erhard, resident director of KfW Development Bank in Peru, highlighted the provision of control and surveillance structures and buildings in protected areas.
