{"id":25401,"date":"2022-10-04T08:53:38","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T13:53:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/?p=25401"},"modified":"2022-10-06T23:32:20","modified_gmt":"2022-10-07T04:32:20","slug":"profonanpe-y-el-centro-de-sostenibilidad-de-la-universidad-de-lima-trabajan-juntos-para-fortalecer-habilidades-de-emprendimientos-sostenibles-en-anp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/profonanpe-y-el-centro-de-sostenibilidad-de-la-universidad-de-lima-trabajan-juntos-para-fortalecer-habilidades-de-emprendimientos-sostenibles-en-anp\/","title":{"rendered":"Profonanpe and the Sustainability Center of the University of Lima are working together to strengthen sustainable entrepreneurship skills in protected natural areas."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Lima, October 4, 2022.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> With the aim of strengthening the capacities of sustainable entrepreneurship in Protected Natural Areas (PNAs), Profonanpe, Peru&#039;s private environmental fund, and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Sustainability Center of the University of Lima<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They are launching the first training program that will benefit the winners of the second edition of the &quot;Entrepreneurs by Nature&quot; contest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This program, which has a methodological design proposed by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Sustainability Center of the University of Lima<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, The program aims to strengthen skills in marketing, digital communication, administration, and accounting, and is taught by faculty and students from the institution. \u201cHaving student support in the sessions will be very enriching for both the entrepreneurs and themselves, since in each session they will be able to learn about the work that the ventures carry out and help them strengthen their skills, while the entrepreneurs will have student advisors to help them develop the activities. It\u2019s a winning formula that benefits everyone,\u201d explains Vanessa Garc\u00eda, Head of Social Responsibility at the Center for Sustainability of the University of Lima.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twenty-seven sustainable projects operating in various protected natural areas across the country will benefit. In 2021, these initiatives received recognition from Sernanp and Profonanpe through the &quot;Entrepreneurs by Nature&quot; competition for working with a private business model that promotes the sustainable development of their communities and ecosystems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cProfonanpe is an ally of initiatives that manage environmentally sustainable solutions. Through our partnership with the University of Lima, we continue to promote the strengthening of the capacities of Nature Entrepreneurs, and this will also have a positive impact on the conservation of our Protected Natural Areas,\u201d highlighted Anton Willems, Executive Director of Profonanpe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first module of the program begins on October 13th, through the University of Lima&#039;s virtual platform. Upon completion of the training, the participating businesses will receive a letter certifying their participation, a valuable resource that strengthens the management of each project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The alliance between both institutions takes place within the framework of the Innova project, an initiative of Profonanpe that designs innovative financing mechanisms that contribute to the effective management of protected natural areas, together with companies and citizens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>About Natural Entrepreneurs<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This competition was created to promote and strengthen private enterprises for the sustainable use of natural resources associated with protected natural areas (PNAs), contributing to their conservation and generating local economic development.
