{"id":17567,"date":"2021-05-18T17:57:20","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T22:57:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/?p=17567"},"modified":"2022-03-10T16:55:51","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T21:55:51","slug":"profonanpe-recibe-una-transferencia-de-98-millones-para-la-remediacion-ambiental","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/profonanpe-recibe-una-transferencia-de-98-millones-para-la-remediacion-ambiental\/","title":{"rendered":"Profonanpe receives a transfer of 98 million for environmental remediation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) authorized the transfer of 98 million soles to Profonanpe to finance the execution of environmental remediation actions of sites impacted by hydrocarbon activities in the Corrientes, Pastaza, Tigre and Mara\u00f1\u00f3n basins in the department of Loreto, through Ministerial Resolution 133-2021-MINEM\/DM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Contingency Fund, managed by Profonanpe, has a total of 419 million soles in financial resources. Since 2018, these funds have been allocated to the development of 30 rehabilitation plans for the Corrientes, Pastaza, and Tigre river basins. For the Mara\u00f1\u00f3n basin, the call for proposals for rehabilitation plan studies is currently open until May 27th to select a consulting firm to carry out the work. More information about the call for proposals is available. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/profonanpe.org.pe\/en\/convocatorias\/elaboracion-de-planes-de-rehabilitacion-de-12-sitios-impactados-por-actividades-de-hidrocarburos-en-la-cuenca-del-rio-maranon\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, there is an approved rehabilitation plan for Impacted Site S0115, located within the territory of the Nueva Jerusal\u00e9n Native Community in the Corrientes River basin, as it meets the technical and legal requirements stipulated by environmental regulations. There are 29 other Rehabilitation Plans for the Corrientes, Pastaza, and Tigre river basins that are being evaluated by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Progress in the evaluation and approval of Rehabilitation Plans by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) is important because it will allow environmental remediation to be carried out. This will contribute to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to reduce pollutants to acceptable levels, improve the quality of ecosystems and the health of people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Regarding the Contingency Fund for Environmental Remediation<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Law No. 30321 created the Environmental Remediation Contingency Fund, whose geographic scope encompasses the Pastaza, Tigre, Corrientes, and Mara\u00f1\u00f3n river basins in the Loreto Department. It also established the Board of Directors, the body responsible for monitoring, reporting, and periodically disseminating the results of the implemented environmental remediation measures.
