The National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State - SERNANP is in charge of directing and establishing the technical and administrative criteria for the conservation of Natural Protected Areas - NPAs, and to ensure the maintenance of biological diversity.
92% of the PNAs in group 1 are registered in SUNARP's PNA registry.
Closing of demarcation gaps was achieved for: Tingo Maria NP, Otishi NP, Ichigkat Muja NP
Cordillera del Condor, Gueppi Sekime NP, Ashaninka CR, Pacaya Samiria NR, Tambopata NR.
As part of the strengthening of the Strategic Development Directorate, inputs were provided for the demarcation, updating of master plans and preparation of monitoring and control plans for PNAs.
The UOF carried out virtual assistance workshops to update the master plans of 20 PNAs, in line with the government's provisions for prevention and management in the context of the pandemic.
Forty management groups were identified to be beneficiaries of the reactivation fund for resource management activities.
